Clayfield College is a co-educational day and boarding school that offers boys and girls all the benefits of single-sex and co-education on one campus through the distinctive Parallel Learning model. There has never been a more exciting time to join Clayfield College!

Each year, a limited number of scholarships and bursaries are offered to students entering Years 7 to 11. Clayfield scholarships provide opportunities for students to attend our College who may not otherwise have been able to do so.

A scholarship to Clayfield College provides your child with the opportunity to achieve their personal best and take responsibility for, and be proactive in, the development of their own education.

Applications for Academic Scholarships are available to students entering Years 7 to 11 in 2027.

To be eligible, applicants must sit the ACER Scholarship Test on Saturday 28 February 2026. 

Registrations for the ACER Scholarship Test open on Monday 22 September and close at midnight (AEDST) Sunday 8 February 2026. Please note that late registrations will not be permitted. 

To apply for an Academic Scholarship, students must attach a portfolio to an Online Enrolment Form (Enrolment Registration Fee Waiver Code CC27SBP), in addition to sitting the ACER Scholarship Test. The portfolio must include:

  • Covering letter and personal resume (outlining your child’s achievements)
  • Copies of four most recent school reports and NAPLAN results
  • Letter from your child’s teacher or current Principal in support of their application.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview with a member of the College’s Senior Leadership Team.

Sports, The Arts, Leadership and Community Service

General Excellence Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate excellent academic results, as well as excellence in Sport, The Arts, Leadership and/or Community Service.
To be eligible for a General Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be entering Years 7 to 11 in 2027 (new and current students), and can demonstrate
    • Excellent academic results; and
    • Outstanding sporting achievement; or
    • Outstanding achievement in The Arts (Music, Performance or Visual Art); or
    • Examples of Leadership and Community Service (such as contribution to the applicant’s current school community and a passion and potential for contributing to our Clayfield community).

To apply for an General Excellence Scholarship, students must attach a portfolio to an Online Enrolment Form (Enrolment Registration Fee Waiver Code CC27SBP) which includes:

  • Covering letter and personal resume (outlining your child’s achievements)
  • Copies of four most recent school reports and NAPLAN results
  • Letter from your child’s current coach or teacher for Sport or The Arts, or current Principal for Community Service or Leadership, in support of their application.


Excellence in Sport
applicants must also provide evidence of State or National selection as part of their portfolio. 

Excellence in The Arts (Music) applicants for Years 7 to 9 are required to have reached AMEB Grade 4 (or equivalent) and must provide relevant details to support this in their portfolio. Excellence in The Arts (Music) applicants for Years 10 and 11, are required to have reached AMEB Grade 6 (or equivalent) and must provide relevant details to support this in their portfolio.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview with a member of the College’s Senior Leadership Team. Excellence in the Arts (Music) shortlisted applicants will also be required to audition.

Applications close Friday 27 March 2026.

Boarding Bursaries are awarded to students from remote and rural areas who demonstrate a willingness to contribute in a positive way to the Boarding and College community, and who currently require assistance to attend Boarding School.

To apply for an Boarding Bursary, students must attach a portfolio to an Online Enrolment Form (Enrolment Registration Fee Waiver Code CC27SBP) which includes:

  • Covering letter and personal resume (outlining their special interests and the contribution they would make to the Boarding and College community)
  • Copies of four most recent school reports and NAPLAN results
  • Letter from your child’s teacher, coach or another referee (not a family member) in support of their application.  

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview with our Head of Boarding (Zoom interviews can be arranged).

New Scholarship Offering – Clayfield College Foundation Scholarship

The Clayfield College Foundation is committed to supporting students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend the College through scholarships and bursaries.

The Foundation Scholarship provides a 50% reduction in tuition fees for domestic students for Years 10 to 12. This offering aims to foster access, excellence, and long-term engagement within the Clayfield community.

To be eligible for a Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a new student entering Year 10 in 2027 and can demonstrate:
    • Strong academic performance and consistent progress; and
    • A commitment to community service; and
    • Participation in a range of co-curricular activities; and
    • A genuine commitment to Clayfield College and engagement in College life.

To apply for a Foundation Scholarship, students must complete an Online Enrolment Form (Enrolment Registration Fee Waiver Code: CC27SBP) and submit a portfolio to enrol@clayfield.qld.edu.au including:

  • A covering letter and personal resume (outlining how you child meets the above criteria)
  • Copies of the four most recent school reports and NAPLAN results.
  • A letter of support from their current Principal or teacher.

Scholarship Policy

In order to retain a scholarship at Clayfield College, students are expected to maintain high standards in their conduct and academic results throughout the scholarship period, and to actively participate and embrace College life.

In accepting a scholarship, parents/caregivers agree that they understand their child will complete their education at Clayfield College.

The College reserves the right to request the full repayment of the total value of the scholarship if students/parents do not fulfil this expectation without valid cause.
