This year, On the Green returns bigger and better than ever, with the incredible Kate Ceberano headlining the event! Mark your calendars for Sunday 3 August, and get ready for an exceptional afternoon of live music featuring Kate Ceberano, the Clayfield Big Band, Chloe Noon (Class of 2024) and the Brisbane City Big Band.

Featured Artists

Kate Ceberano

Kate Ceberano is an Australian music icon, celebrated for her distinctive blend of pop, jazz, soul, and R&B. With 30 albums to her name and 10 Top 10 singles, she has captivated audiences with her powerful voice and genre-defying artistry. A multi-ARIA Award winner, Kate was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 Australian Women in Music Awards, cementing her legacy as one of the country’s most beloved performers.      

Sax DJ ‘Jame’ Prendergast

Jame is a saxophonist based in Brisbane, with nearly a decade of experience in performing and teaching. He has toured extensively to renowned music destinations worldwide, including New York, Washington D.C., Budapest (Hungary), and Austria. Jame was invited to participate in an exclusive workshop with Winton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra. Additionally, in 2020, he received the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence in his music studies. He is part of up-and-coming Brisbane-based 70s funk soul band ‘ The Anchormen’ as well as a celebrated saxophone teacher at Hanlon School of Music.

Chloe Noon

Chloe Noon is a local artist who graduated from Clayfield College in 2024. She competed in Triple J’s Unearthed High 2024 songwriting competition and shared her original song, “You Took My Problem (Not My Man),” blending guitar, vocals, and synth inspired by personal experiences.

A highlight of her journey was performing alongside Kate Miller-Heidke last year at On the Green.

Chloe regularly performs, with dreams of songwriting, competitions, and one day, releasing her own album.

Clayfield Big Band

The Clayfield College Big Band consists of students who are part of the College Music program. The students share a passion for jazz and contemporary art music. The band is directed by Tim Opstelten and is one of the most innovative and aspiring school bands in Brisbane.

 

Brisbane City Big Band

Enjoy one of Brisbane’s most historically significant community bands that has been entertaining the people of Brisbane for over 110 years. It is also one of the original member bands of the current Bands in the Park program. Under the direction of David Jones, it has a strong, vibrant member base and has played at civic events, Anzac ceremonies and gala concerts throughout the city.

Every attempt is made to ensure all dietary requirements are catered for by the contracted food vendors however, if you have a specific dietary requirement, it is advised to bring your own food.

Please note, no BYO alcohol is permitted. This is a fully licensed event.

First Aid

First Aid is available on-site. Please ask Security, Event staff or First Aid officers for help. There will be a first aid service attending the event. Please consider others as well as your own safety. If someone is in need of medical attention, please let Security, Event staff or First Aid officers know so they can help.

Pets

Only service dogs are permitted. If you do plan on attending On the Green with your service dog, please consider ear protection, as in most cases dogs can show extreme signs of stress in conditions with loud music and large crowds. No other dogs or animals of any kind are permitted to On the Green.

Photography and Videography

Professional cameras and video and recording equipment are not allowed. Generally, cameras with powerful zoom lenses or detachable lenses in a carry case are not allowed.
Attendees consent to their photography and videography as members of the audience. By entering the event site, you agree to being filmed or photographed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes. Media and professional photographers must arrange accreditation through marketing@clayfield.qld.edu.au.

Strollers

You are permitted to bring prams and strollers for your children.

Weather

If it does rain the show will go ahead unless conditions are deemed to be dangerous. If the event must be cancelled due to weather, patrons will receive a full refund from point of purchase. If the forecast is for even the possibility of rain bring good quality raincoats and suitable footwear. The decision to cancel a show will be made as early as possible but may not be made until the morning of the show. In the event of inclement weather patrons should check this website BEFORE departing for the show for messages regarding traffic, parking or wet weather arrangements.

Smoking Prohibited

Smoking is not permitted on College grounds.

Event Regulations

On the Green is a licensed event; alcohol is available for purchase at the venue. Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the venue. No pets are allowed (other than service dogs). All guests will need to comply with these requirements in order to attend the event.
